Sean Hamilton has been a Case Manager with Rise since 2019. Before that, he was an employment consultant with ESR. After ESR joined Rise in a merger, Hamilton joined the team at Rise, and he plans to stay for as long as he can. “Working for Rise has allowed me to work with some of the most professional and decent individuals I have ever met,” Hamilton said. The thing he is most proud of is the atmosphere, culture, and programming that his team in Cottage Grove has put together in the last couple of years, especially during such difficult and constantly changing circumstances.

His coworkers have many nice things to say about him as well. “The main word that sticks out when thinking of Sean is compassion. You can tell by his work that Sean puts his heart into his job and truly cares for the people we serve; he always goes the extra mile to make opportunities possible for as many people as he can,” said one coworker.

Hamilton says his favorite part of the job is knowing that he is helping people improve their lives. “Whether it is short term, and they just have a great day, or long term and they reach a milestone in their personal or professional life, it’s great being able to witness these moments for the people we serve.”

Hamilton has played the guitar for 20 years. He spends his free time playing music and traveling with his wife and youngest daughter to watch his three older children play competitive hockey and lacrosse.
