The team at Rise’s South Minneapolis office appreciates the fine work, dependability, and professionalism that Case Manager LoWu Xiang brings to the table each and every day. Serving people receiving MFIP can be challenging because of the diversity of cultures of people served, the multitude of government relations, and the additional challenges people face as they acclimate to a new culture. His teammates say LoWu “is purposeful in his actions to accomplish tasks. He researches how to do both work-related and personal pursuits to maximize positive outcomes.”

In February, LoWu took on the responsibility of interim MFIP coordinator. “Throughout his tenure in this position, he maintained his composure in the face of challenges. Meanwhile, LoWu continued to work with people in his role as an employment counselor.  He has excellent time management skills, exudes professionalism, and is always willing to lend a helping hand to make sure things run well at our office.”

LoWu says that the best part of his job is assisting people become self-sufficient. “Rise is a great place to work because it has strong management and a diverse workforce. I like working as a team and being held accountable.”

LoWu moved from Thailand to the U.S. with his family in 1992. He enjoys listening to music, watching movies, and practicing Chinese medicine.
